There are a few uses for. e.g. Pipe through a cliff, Run a super high-rise pipe, Or like my Steam screenshots.

Paste it into the game: Blueprints → Import from string. The game fetches the blueprint itself, so the link is all you need.
On an older game build that doesn't take links? Copy the blueprint string instead:
wtf how do you do that
(1) Make a gate with 3 levels of height using pipes. (2) Delete the horizontal parts at both ends. (3) Copy, raise 3 levels and paste. (4) Extend both ends to the ground. (5) Same as (2). (6) Build it and unify three sections of pipe. (7) Repeat from (3).
