Late-game H2 Ship Adapter

A small, directly connected hydrogen fuel production facility for 8-sized ships that have nearly no idle time (around a 5-month period). It fits between minimally spaced docks, behind cargo modules, and will not obstruct ship access.

This facility generates 72 H2/mo using 17 MW and 27 water/mo. This is the fuel consumption of an 8-sized hydrogen cargo ship that does not idle (3 months world travel + ~1 month local travel + 1 month unloading); a good rule of thumb is any ship you expect to provide around a T3 transport or more of output.

Connect the output line directly to a cargo dock's fuel tank, and connect the input line to water. The water consumption is low enough that you could get away with truck delivery to a fluid storage if no water pipe is near.

For ships that have just over a 10-month period, delete one of the hydrogen reformers and its associated boiler and piping. While the full design will work, doing this will help prevent power spikes that will occur during refueling.

This design is not recommended for smaller ships or ships that only travel every few years; centralized hydrogen production will use population and power more efficiently.
