Description

Sulfur Industrial Complex

v1.1 – added Water & Salt Supply Facility.

The complex is an efficient industrial conversion system designed to transform sulfur and salt into 176 Food Packs and 42 Wheat, optimized for maximum value extraction through contract chains (rubber → wood → corn, sausages → wheat). This facility turns sulfur — normally a problematic refinery and industrial byproduct — into a powerful economic driver. What was once waste becomes the foundation of a self-sustaining production loop. With office contract profitability bonuses, the complex can generate consistent surpluses of corn and wheat, significantly reducing or fully replacing the need for greenhouse cultivation of these crops. The facility is especially effective when paired with the Mega Oil Power Plant 300MW ( https://coigame.com/Blueprint/Detail/1054 ), sharing a nearly identical footprint and enabling direct integration. It consumes the plant’s sulfur output while supplying Food Packs back. The complex's operating principle is shown in screenshot 4.

Startup Procedure:

  1. Begin construction with the corn-to-rubber processing section of the complex. The remaining sections may remain paused for the time being https://imgur.com/a/CNGyplL.
  2. At the same time, construct two Cargo Depots:
    Rubber → Wood contract depot: 5 × Unit Module III (Rubber), 3 × Unit Module III (Wood)
    Wood → Corn contract depot: 2 × Unit Module III (Wood), 6 × Loose Module III (Corn)
    Ships operating in Economic Mode. Connect the wood modules of both depots with conveyors. Connect the rubber and corn modules to the corresponding storages within the complex.
  3. The easiest way to start the trading chain is by supplying wood or rubber from your existing stockpiles.
  4. Do not fill the water storage at this stage. It is intended to serve as a buffer for diesel production later.
  5. Initially, all corn received through trading should be processed exclusively into rubber.
  6. As the corn storage fills up, construct the remaining sections of the complex and the Sausages → Wheat contract depot: 3 × Unit Module II (Sausages), 5 × Loose Module III (Wheat). Ship operating in Economic Mod. Connect the depot to the complex using conveyors.
  7. Once the corn storage exceeds 50% capacity, begin supplying water to the water storage and unpause the conveyor feeding corn into feed production https://imgur.com/a/5OxVfrF .
  8. Gradually stock the chicken farms for breeding.
  9. At this stage, an external wheat supply from your own reserves will be required for sausage production, approximately 41 per month. Only 3 mills need to operate; keep the remaining mills and their supply conveyor paused.
  10. As soon as the first batch of wheat is received through the sausage trade contract, discontinue external wheat deliveries. From that point onward, all wheat requirements will be covered through sausage trading.
  11. During this phase, all eggs produced will automatically be processed into Fuel Gas to reduce corn consumption. If you prefer to reserve eggs for feeding your settlement, enable the appropriate option in the egg storage.
  12. Once the wheat storage exceeds 50% capacity, proceed to the final production stage: Food Packs. Unpause conveyor supplying the mills and the conveyor supplying the bakeries https://imgur.com/a/gcvuX0p .
  13. The complex is now fully self-sufficient in its 2 key resources: corn and wheat. The only remaining external inputs are sulfur, sustanaible water and salt. To ensure uninterrupted operation, periodically empty the Food Pack and Compost storages.
  14. Once the complex's corn and wheat storages are fully stocked, any additional corn and wheat accumulating in the intermediate buffers can be diverted for other purposes without affecting the complex's self-sufficiency.

Average fuel consumption is approximately 1.3–1.4k Hydrogen per year. When Food Packs are traded for Ammonia, the complex generates the equivalent of approximately 12.6k Hydrogen annually, requiring only 11% of that amount to sustain its own operation. Alternatively, that's equivalent to 78 oil per month, or roughly 8.3%.

Water & Salt Supply Facility

This facility is designed to fully supply water and salt to the Sulfur Industrial Complex. It enables direct integration with the complex via conveyor belts and pipelines (screenshot 3).

Note: To start the cycle, water needs to be delivered a few times. Once the system has completed several cycles, disable water imports to the storage.

Contract Profitability Bonuses

One of the key features of the complex is its strong synergy with Office contract profitability bonuses. When combined with these bonuses, the system generates substantial grain surpluses, eliminating the need for greenhouse cultivation of corn and wheat altogether.

At +20% contract profitability, the complex produces a surplus of approximately 98 corn/month and 92 wheat/month.
At +30% contract profitability, the surplus increases to approximately 190 corn/month and 120 wheat/month.

Higher profitability levels also increase contract throughput and delivery volumes. This will require switching the ship assigned to the Wood → Corn contract from Economic Mode to Normal Mode in order to handle the increased delivery volumes.
