Update 4.2 version v0.8.6 - New vehicle ramps and large trucks / vehicles.

Am I missing something with the new vehicle ramps (adjustable length ones). Are they not wide enough to allow large vehicles over them?

Correct, they support T3 and amph. vehicles.

They indeed do. However the pathing shows they don't, or not clearly anyway.
