Devs, we are at update 4.2, and we still don't have dedicated belt access to and from the shipyard. Why not? It would be so nice to be able to offload cargo found or taken in by our exploration ship, and to make it easier to provide dedicated repair materials when it returns damaged. We can put storage nearby, but that doesn't guarantee our trucks will deliver the required materials, even if it is…

8 total postsHopefully, we’ll eventually get a rail-switching module that allows trains to use sidings properly. Trains waiting for a clear track could automatically move to the nearest available siding instead of stopping and blocking the main line. This would make rail operations much more efficient. It would also be nice to have drawbridges for sea-level crossings to allow ships to pass before trains, as tr…
Devs, please consider adding a quality-of-life building called the Turbine Control Tower.
This would function similarly to the Mining Control Tower, but for turbine power systems. When selected, the building would display all paired turbines, generators, and boilers, allowing players to manage steam power production from one central interface.
Suggested features could include:
- View all co…
Please consider adding fishing grounds to Captain of Industry as a new food and logistics feature.
The system could include several types of fish and seafood, such as salmon, tuna, and shellfish, each with different processing options or production values. Ship terminals from small to large could support a fishing vessel configuration, allowing players to send ships out to harvest…
Replace Amphibious Vehicles with Dredging Vessels
Devs, please consider adding small and large dredging vessels to the world map, like normal ships.
These vessels could include a shipping terminal that allows rock and dirt to be loaded onto or removed from the dredging vessel. The vessel could then dredge a selected area of shoreline or shallow water to a specified depth.
It could als…
In addition to my last comment, the boring engine could also separate extracted minerals for loading into rail cars, essentially functioning as a mobile sorter. As long as the boring train is configured for the minerals it is expected to encounter, it could automatically sort them as it advances. If the engine detects minerals it is not configured to process, it would stop before reaching them so …
I like this idea as well. A practical way to implement it could be to require the large sorting plant to have belt inputs, allowing it to connect directly to the excavator through a conveyor system.
The excavator could still be movable under its own power, but only when no belt is attached. To relocate it, the player would temporarily cut or disconnect the belt, move the excavator to a new …
To add on to this suggestion, one possible implementation could be a tunnel-boring train engine designed specifically for underground expansion.
The train would need to carry concrete blocks or tunnel segments to construct tunnel walls as it advances, as well as track sections so it can lay new rail behind itself. It should also require loose material cars to haul away excavated…
