Starting locations
1. Easy
The Old Mountainside Docks. Gaping Maw to the right. Vast level plain making building even easier!
2. Easy
The old Export Docks A fine place to start with huge oil field and Gaping Maw dead ahead.
3. Easy
Crashed Landing Whoops, someone wasn't paying attention. Think we will be fine though. Just got to build some docks.
4. Medium
The Hardest Spot Just chill, everything you need but a leg up onto bigger land.
Description
Welcome to ChillTopia. Play your own way. Easy going chill map to terraform. Every resource, every where. Almost too good to be true. With Gaping Maw (sinkhole), 2 rivers, 2 docks , a desert and a central mountain the possibilities are endless.
V2 contains more water points and Gaping Maw reduced to The Pit.

Let me know if you guy's want a non-sandbox version. Any feedback is welcome. If this one gets a bunch of downloads I'll post some more of my maps.
Looks like a pretty awesome map. Are the mega resources above the sea level? Mostly above sea level? Or do you need to mine to the world floor to get them 'all' out???
All of the land is made of resources so to get them 'all' out a lot is below sea level. My town is above a gold deposit. I kept the ocean empty and deep plus 200 deep sinkhole for all dumping needs. Only sand, coal, bauxite and titanium can only be obtained by mining down so mostly below sea level but there are also 10, 20 and i think 30 above sea level landmasses containing them plus small mountains above ground for easy access and identifying. Large central mountain is 200 tall above sea level containing most other resources. All resources should go down to the bottom of the map at 1000 below sea level even the ones above ground except some stone and limestone deposits being only surface generated.
This map is great! BUUUUUT, whatever you do, unless you want your game to slow to a crawl, DON'T DUMP ANYTHING IN THE HOLE! The sides are unstable enough that the entire thing will start to collapse into an ever expanding sink hole.
But still a super chill map... and very big and fun to play on...
Apologies on the lateness as work has been hectic. Yeah, the Gaping Maw hungers! Took only about 5 or so minutes to settle for me. Frames went back to normal after. Maybe wait for it to settle and then try save and reload it if you've got a beefy computer? V2 already uploaded with stable Pit instead of The Gaping Maw and additional ground water areas added for easier block manufacturing.
LOL... might want to shore up the beaches too... I just unzipped the entire side of the island by dumping on the edge of the beach. The sand is collapsing down to all the way around the island... Didn't realize the edge of the sand was a shear cliff like in the Gaping Maw... The Ocean hungers too!
It's probably ALL the beaches, but my current collapse is happening on the North beach....
Thanks. I had ocean setting too high. V3 Fixed Beaches. Forgot to update info.
If I copy the new version in, will my save game still work?
It should overwrite the old map as i forgot to update the info but I'm not sure whether it effects the save state. Give it a go and let me know? I didn't see the hide ocean button before I looked it up so unfortunately I was guessing on the beaches. I updated my other maps on here too though so won't happen again. I only dumped stuff on land and in gaping maw on my playtest. Digging into the sand didn't set it off for me.
Digging the sand doesn't trigger the collapse... dumping in the ocean at the edge of beach will trigger it...
I know, it's now on my to do list for testing plus making maps. Thanks for reporting it. Did overwriting the map change the save file? I just deleted my save after I found out about the unintentional bug with the beaches. Good to know for future use.
I haven't tried yet. A little scared of effing it up... got a lot of time on this map... I'll probably try once I get done with this run... or Update 4... whichever happens first....lol
