Improvements to area pause tool

The area pause tool is great, but could use some improvement in the form of user-selectable options. I'd like options for the following:
Exclude trucks from the area action
Exclude balancers from the area action
Include belts in the area action
Separate options for building operation pause and construction pause
My preferred solution for this would be as follows: Right-click the pause icon (or shift+P) brings up a new dialogue where options for the above can be toggled on/off.
An alternate solution for this (which may take a bit less effort to implement) would be to include a dialogue similar to the area upgrade tool, where the user is given the option to select/de-select specific entity types after the area is selected.

I 100% agree with excluding trucks & balancers. As someone who adopts a minimalist playstyle, I constantly pauses things to rotate Workers or save maintenance, so this has been a huge pain for me.
Something I would add is Conveyor Lifts - they do not consume Maintenance or Electricity when not working, so there isn't much reason to area-pause them. A player might sometimes want to pause a specific lift when modifying a build, but that is a job for individual pause since in this case there's usually only 1 lift to pause. I often accidentally area-pause a lift that is not part of the sector I meant to pause, and cut off input flows to something else.

I disagree with including belts, because sectors I want to pause often include belts that run through them but don't actually interact with them, which I don't want to pause. I think the best solution for belts is to automatically send any belt into a "powered-down" state where they consume no maintenance and are effectively paused if either end is disconnected or paused. A new visual effect could be applied to the entire length of the belt to indicate it is powered down, instead of the generic pause button icon, which makes it very hard to identify long belts that haven been accidentally paused.
The right-click dialogue menu is a good idea too.
