Movable Transport Pillars

I'm a bit OCD about pillar placement. I would love it if we could have a new button on a conveyor belt's or pipe's info window, allowing us to move pillars, next to the "Remove Products" and the "Toggle Directions" buttons.
Clicking that new button would simply allow us to move, remove, and add pillars along the length of the belt/pipe.
The blueprint update's new system is a step in the right direction, but not quite a big enough step for me personally.

I think Pillars should be a separate placeable item. No pillars would then be placed automatically.

The number of Supports drives me crazy. Why , when connecting a new Transport to an existing Transport, is there a need to add yet another support right next to a support that is already there?. If there are any supports within the 9 tiles that already exist, let the new Transport just connect and move on without adding yet another non-removable, hard to see thru for future connections under, support.
