Research happens way too fast

You can easily plough through research very quickly, before you even have a chance to utilise any of the new buildings
I'd love to see research being far more sluggish, so you feel like you are gradually building a colony and working hard for every new development as it unlocks.
Its kinda boring to just coast through the tech tree, and check every now and again to see what new can be built

You can always just build less labs or not run them.
