I'm think it's good idea have a solar panels on the top of building. Some upgradable add for storage, assembly and maybe housing. Of course this additional upgrade cost expansive resources. But after that can be reduced a power consumption of that building. Maybe in the storage building can be eliminate the operation consumption.
