vehicle ramps are far too wide

vehicle ramps demand so much real estate, you need to plan for them when building your base. So it inevitably means long pipes and conveyors, which is detrimental to a nice compact base.
Even worse, once you realise you need a ramp to supply one building, you have to destroy full production chains, to accomodate it.
My suggestion is the first vehicle ramps should be very narrow, but impose a speed penalty.
Later research could then unlock the current wide ramps, allow vehicles to run at max speed over them
