Groundwater in pits

I guess it would be nice to have a implementation of groundwater which possibly floods pits and needs to be pumped out of tham. As we are on an island, it would be possible to say that this is Saltwater which flows from the ocean unser the island, except the spots where you have reals sweatwater as resource.
