Vehicle Efficiency

I would like to see that vehicles become more efficient over the course of the game, whether by research or as you upgrade the vehicles to the next level. I have noticed that I have many vehicles idling when I they could be doing another job. So for instance a truck takes construction parts from the shipyard to a storage box and then it unloads the cargo, then it will sit there for several minutes until it finds another job to do, I believe that after it drops the construction parts off at the storage box it should pickup material going to another storage box that is the closest to that particular vehicle. You could add research in each stage of the research tree to help make the vehicles more efficient as the game progresses.
