When I'm checking the stats on my food, I don't care how much I produced in a year, I care about how much I produced /60, so I can make decisions on my production. It's a little irritating to have to do math to get at the numbers I care about - I feel strongly that the displayed number should be "average /60 over that time period".
Display production statistics as /60 instead of /displayed-period
