The ability to upgrade assemblers, storage, pipes, conveyors or any other structure either within a blueprint or in planning.
Upgrade structures in blueprints and planning
If it isn't built, we should be able to downgrade or upgrade belts, pipes, and buildings (for assemblers, if they are building something that requires a certain level of building, give a message that you can't downgrade further).
For downgrading, if it is built, then it should be treated like vehicle recycling... Bulldoze the structure, have vehicles remove the materials (or use Unity), Add the downgraded version, vehicles bring the parts (or use unity) and now you have a downgraded pipes, belt or buildings.
Blueprints placed over existing structures should Flag structures with a different tier as starting to upgrade or downgrade in a paused state and should paste the settings for balancers, buildings, etc.
Basically a more powerful placement mode which enforces the blueprint you are holding in your hand. Be it demolitions, upgrades, downgrades, configuration changes on machines such as priorities, truck import/export settings, flipping directions on transports, pausing/unpausing, etc.
Even if this was an interactive feature that allowed the choice within an already placed structure menu to choose directly which version you want of it while in planning mode. Ex. Place blueprint….5 assemblers present…. Open menu for each assembler and choose directly which version of that building you want…change from assembler I to Assembler IV or revert to assembler II from assembler IV. Makes blueprints more user friendly, but also live planning doesn’t require delete and replace to change versions of structure if you’ve preplanned something complex or large.
Different than upgrade, which is only on built structure, is sequential and not reversible.
