I have set like every storage on notification and it's mostly fine with 4-5 visible. But when stuff starting to happen like a cascading effect like in my picture (have been putting out fires for about an hour now) and it's hard to read everything and prioritize and quickly find the root of the problem. But the hardest thing is knowing what new stuff has happened.
So... i was thinking about color coding notifications better by using more colors and having an option to collapse/expand the different notification colors. And every notification can be right clicked and changed color on, (low food supply) maybe i want the color red instead. And when setting alerts on storages you can choose what color it should use.
And also....move over the maintenance, storage overview and recipe button to the left side instead so it's visible even if you filled the whole screen with notifications. As you want to look at the storage overview to fix the problems that the notifications are telling you.
