An Assembly upgrade should not lead to a trap situation where the recipe unexpectedly changes or becomes unavailable.
Examples:
- Mechanical Parts suddenly made from Steel instead of Iron, resulting in same end product, but costing a higher tier source component with possibly massive consequences for the established supply chain
- Robotic Assembly II can only manufacture the highest Contruction Parts tier. Many other recipies are getting lost as well when upgrading to Robotic Assembly I or II.
An Assembly Upgrade (or any other upgrade of an existing production building) should NEVER lead to a loss of features, but always to an advantage, like:
- increased efficiency
- increased speed
- new, higher-level recipies
at the cost of:
- energy consumtion
- more workers or
- more compute power
Imagine buying a new computer that can do less than your old model. Let's say it's incredibly fast, but no longer supports any networking features at all (with no way to change it). A no-buy!
