Power options: gas turbines

As additional power options I suggest adding gas turbines and wind turbines. Gas turbines could be a midd-game option, becoming available between coal power and nuclear power. Gas turbines could consume fuel gas, diesel and hydrogen, and maybe ethanol, light and heavy oil. The main benefit would be that they are directly outputting mechanical power (like the steam turbines), besides exhaust.

you you need to look up CoGens or co-generators, it's the most common type of gas power plant. a gas turbine turns a generator, the exhaust goes to a Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) so the heat from the gas turbine makes steam that turns a high-pressure turbine and then a low-pressure turbine. I would love to see coal gasification, this would allow coal, wood, and biomass to be turned into fuel gas, co2, and sour water. with this and your idea you can run gas turbines on coal at a higher efficiency https://ideas.captain-of-industry.com/suggestions/498295/gasification-unit-coal-wood-biomass-fuel-gas-exhaust

in theory you have gas turbine just gas boiler.
