Reconfigure ore outputs

Currently the ore sorter output works by assigning a specific material type to an output (A, B, C or D). This restricts the throughput of a material through an ore sorter to 450/60 (one tier III belt per).
Instead I would like to reverse this and have the outputs remain as fixed slots and the Captain assign the material (or materials) to each one, including the ability to assign the same material to multiple outputs. The benefit of this being 2x/3x/4x throughput of the ore sorter across multiple belts.
A tier III truck with overloaded trucks II edict can carry 702 cargo. This is more than the sorter can sort per 60, meaning long queues and waits for mid-late game major earthworks projects eg. mining a mountain on one end the map and belting elsewhere for land reclamation (I don't want trucks driving miles across the map) - see attached image of my custom You Shall Not Pass map.
I realize trains are coming but I could see this rework help load trains faster straight from the mine.

If you put a connector right on the exit you can pull 3 belts out of a single port

Also the sorting speed is the current bottleneck, but T2 sorters are coming in U3.

Bottleneck is not output, as Said.
