In industry, when working with mixed loose material, one way to move from a series of inputs to a series of outputs - specifically for creating a set mix of inputs and outputs, like X kg quartz, Y kg coal and Z kg iron (for ferrosilicon), and distributing the mix to different silos - is a weighing wagon.
It moves along a track, collecting the correct mix of materials, and deposits it in the appropriate silo, usually by tipping or opening the bottom of the wagon.
I attached the only image I count find online that I’m legally allowed to share. It shows a wagon being supplied by Bauxite, coke, and limestone silos, mixing the materials, and delivering the correct mix to a furnace (off screen). Modern systems are automated, not manually operated like this one from the 1930s.
This would greatly simplify belt routing from ore silos to multiple furnaces, while being realistic and also cool (in my opinion).
