There should be a way to make the train's error messages (the little box at the top left when clicking on the engine) go through the main Alerts manager. That would be awesome. Alerts scream at me for anything else. I had an issue where the train refused to unload and it was because the station was too close to a siding switch.
Had this been in the main alerts and not hidden behind the engine dialog, I would have found it way sooner.
