Golden Roads

We can make cement roads and cobblestone and even questionable Iron roads with surfaces.
As ridiculously impractical as it is... having the ability to spend gold bars on a surface texture to make golden roads would be amusing to no end. Please let us have shiny golden roads!

Already in-game. As soon as you research gold smelting.

Not in-game "Vanilla" from what I am seeing, not sure if there is a mod that you have installed...
I have Gold Smelting Researched, still only have:
-6 that use Concrete Slabs: Concrete, Reinforced, Brick, Cobblestone, Stone x2
-4 that use metal all named Metal surface, 1x Iron, and the other 3 are Steel.
