Ship construction yard, a new building for (cargo) ship construction

Obtaining additional cargo ships by trading for them from the word map is somewhat bland in my opinion.
Addition of a ship construction building (drydock?) would make getting more cargo ships more interesting. Basically a vehicle depot, but for ships.
The drydock would be a fairly large building that needs to be constructed next to the ocean. Steel, mechanical parts, electronics and any other parts needed to build the new ship can be brought by trucks or by belts. It takes a very long time (at least a year) to complete construction of one ship, with the current progress of the ship visible inside the drydock building. The drydock would not have a ceiling, and the ship would slowly get bigger inside as it is built. Once the ship is completely built, it would be launched (or lowered) into the ocean, go towards the edge of the map and leave. Afterwards, you have one more cargo ship available to assign to world mines or contracts.
First few cargo ships are still repaired from world map.

IRL, ships are commonly launched side-to-side. If the ocean-adjacent space taken up by the huge ship construction yard is a problem, the yard could be oriented to launch ships nose-first, either way would be good in my opinion. Cranes and gantries could be added and animated to move and carry materials while construction is in progress, but then I would not be able to play the game from staring at it all the time :)

Would be awsome to have this feature.
The ships shouldn't disappear and come back bigger when the pier gets bigger.
To take full advantage of all the features of a larger dock, a new ship would have to be built.
Loading and unloading for ships that are too short compared to the pier could work in a similar way to trains.
Shipwrecks that are found may, after being repaired, be slower and smaller than newly built ships.
