Currently you have to chain lifts to reach levels higher than 1. Construction parts for example require 3 input materials, so chaining them requires belts at 0, 1 and 2. Waist of tons of space, you need 9 squares between the storage and the assamblies!
The suggestion is to make lifts configurable in regard to which levels they span ( 1-2, 0-3 etc., or at least only from level 0.). This could be done after placing/copying the lift (in blueprint mode?) before it is built.
