intra-island boats

Intra-Island depot boats. The ability to use depots on your island.

I'd like to be able to use boats to bring things from other islands or the far side of my island around to a location closer to production. In some cases, boats are better. Would need ferries to bring workers back and forth off the smaller island.

It could maybe function somewhat like trains, just on water. (I've seen a factorio mod that implements cargo ships in exactly this way) The tricky thing would be how to get vehicles onto local islands, that would need some kind of ferry, which would be a completely new thing
Big (maybe?) downside though - this would largely obviate the need to build land bridges.
