Please move the /mods/ folder from %AppData% to the game directory

Quality of life Modding

Hello, I've switched to Linux and I initially had trouble using mods with COI since the folder structure is of course different. I figured it out since Proton emulates a Windows environment with the respective folders, though it is buried quite deep in the file structure. My suggestion would be to move the /mods/ folder from %AppData% to the game directory. That would make modding more intuitive for everyone and you won't bloat user profiles on Windows since everything in %AppData% also gets saved in the individual user profiles. Same principle would apply to maps. Thank you.

There is a way to move any folder anywhere. You can create junction point for "%appdata%/Captain of Industry/" in your file system. I use "Junction Link Magic" to move factorio and euro truck simulator mods to bigger storage.

that's not the only folder that goes there and it's a problem for me as well - also using Linux - the saves folder, the maps folder, the logs folder and most importantly the SCREENSHOTS folder (for me) - each has a different location and it's causing me problems having to track each one separately - I'd rather they all either be configurable (from outside the game, cause it doesn't let me change in proton) or together in the install folder where it's easy to find and re-locate to the bigger drive instead of the systems drive (that windows also needs to always have enough free space in...)
to @hikkiko - what do you mean 'junction point' ?

I found the program - it's windows and the OP mentioned that, like me, they are on LINUX ( RTF post, man !! )
