I think the original exhaust scrubber behavior work fine.
let's say you check both recipe and 480 recipe on higher priority.
If overall throughput < =240 it trigger non-limestone recipe first.
If overall throughput > 240 it trigger non-limestone recipe first, and when exhaust accumulate too much, it trigger 480 limestone recipe.
It is perfect auto balance behavior for minimize usage of limestone.
But after update,
it will always trigger 480 recipe if it is on higher priority,
and always trigger 240 recipe if it is on higher priority.
It work same as simply choose only one recipe. So please change it back.
Undo the change of exhaust scrubber in v0.7.7
Definitelly not, most people wants current behavior, as at a cost of little limestone we get 2x throughput and no pollution. You can just build more exhaust scrubbers if you want to save some limestone.
But maybe third recipe could be added working as the old recipe? But there is possible confusion of those, so they should be more visibly separated.
I see the main conflict now.
I want to minimize limestone usage and number of exhaust scrubbers, and most people want maximize limestone usage and minimize number of exhaust scrubbers.
But I still don't get it. If you want use 2x recipe, why not just simply only check 2x recipe and make sure limestone supply like other supply chain.
If you want some fall back, you can use balancer+smoke stack.
But to minimize limestone usage it is way harder for now.Simply build more exhaust scrubbers is not efficient for worker and maintenance.
