More immediate colored pipes

The colored pipes are awesome but if a resource is flowing at a slow rate or bits at a time, It takes forever for the transition to color to happen. The fade is nice but If it could just begin and end its transition to color in a fixed amount of time that'd be wonderful. Essentially once a resource has came in contact with a pipe it starts its transition to color in a couple seconds.
