Found resources mini game.

Not sure how difficult this would be, but have a mini game where found resources actually require you to go to that location/island. You would need to build and bring the excavators/trucks/building materials, set it all up and get it started. Once setup, it would be autonomous after that. Oil derricks would not require that but you would still need to bring the repair materials.
