Being able to lock a blueprint in place without actually placing it so you can move around without moving the blueprint would help with verifying pipe and belt connections and investigating collisions.

I've tried to read that several times and have NO idea what you're asking for.
whatruonabout: When you try to place a blueprint, it is connected to your mouse. Sometimes it can be difficult to see if it is exactly in wanted spot and you need to rotate camera - but then the blueprint moves.
Satisfactory have H key, which will make it stay, where it currently is and you can then see it from different angle and nudge it to right position.
In addition to that, once its locked in place it would be nice if we could move it around tile by tile e.g. with arrow keys
