Currently, all railroad track S-bend pieces for all radii move the track over by 1 tile. It'd be great if we had an extra set of S-bend pieces that could move over 2 tiles, allowing for higher speed railroad diamonds and interlockings, or spur track. Currently the only way to move from one track to an adjacent track 2 tiles over is with 2 S-bend pieces, which looks weird, or 2 curved pieces of the smallest radius, which forces slower speeds.
Add larger S-bends to the rail set, for larger curves.

Connecting 2 parallel lanes which have 2-tile space with 20d curves is possible.
Did you mean connecting 2 parallel lanes with no space?
Currently you can only move over 2 tiles with the 14 Radius (Red) turns, which slow the trains down., it sure would be nice to have yellow and blue land shifts for higher speed trains.
I have a 3-4 tracks per side with the inside land for through trains, the second from inside is those trains with stops in area, and the 3 and 4 for stations and turn offs. I would love to be able to move the through trains to middle lain pair without slowing them down first. I could use the faster 2 curve to have the through trains favor those, and the yellows to make local trains to favor the local track vs the stations would use the red do make them last choice for trains not going to station.
Lokasenna, I can't view your picture. But yes, I mean to connect 2 parallel tracks that are directly adjacent, no empty space inbetween. You need to use the red-diameter curves for this, which slows trains down.
Honestly I'd love to have S-bends for the yellow and blue diameters that cover every length that isn't achievable with normal curves. An S-bend that moves over a total of 3 or 4 tiles, for example.
I like to have 2 tracks for stations, and have those tracks adjacent to each other, with the station buildings on the outside. The crossing you need to make going into and out of a station (for terminus-style stations) requires the slowest diameter curve. :(
@PopsiclePenguin [ideas] Ah-ha. What I wanted to show you were these.

And I want to show a Youtube video for you.
This video shows how I operate railway system.

I prefer building railway tracks have spaces between 2 tiles each other because by that I can bend these tracks to 45 degrees with sufficient spaces. If you see 5th pictures above you'll understand my words.
And if you build elevated parallel railway tracks they should have space between each other. So I don't recommend to build parallel tracks with no space between them.
