In game Notepad or Journal

Have an in game notepad or journal to be able to write things down in a save like what to do next for coming back to old saves or what trades/loans to do/are going on, ect. Also it would be handy to be able to write a note of calculations or reminders for yourself that could be on screen like the tutorial, ect. It could be simple like click add note, type up to a character limit then press enter. When done with old notes click the x-box or delete button to delete it. Add limitations on amount of notes and character limits not to bloat saves and reduce possible performance issues with UI. I hate having to switch out of game to notepad constantly when playing and having the game freeze up mid-game onwards just switching back.

Steam overlay does mostly work for this, but I second that having it in game is good bang for the relatively effort required.
