Mining causes air pollution

In the real world, open pit mining causes a lot of pollution! At the moment, this is only really modeled in-game by the pollution coming from the mining vehicles themselves, and I think it would be a good idea to implement something along the lines of ground removal (by excavators) and dumping (by trucks) causing some amount of (temporary) air pollution. It could even vary by material, as is the case in the real world!
It also would be a fascinating logistical challenge to need to deal with stuff like wastewater runoff and groundwater pollution as a result of dumping / mining, but that also might be a bit out of scope for this game. 😅
