On mountainous maps and with ore sorters, dirt/rock overburden constantly backs up and can stall sorting when outputs fill. The main workaround is dedicating excavators just to load trucks and haul waste away.
Idea: add a small building that accepts Dirt/Rock via conveyor, buffers it, and allows assigned trucks to be auto-loaded directly by the building (no excavator needed for loading). Trucks + dumping are still required, but it reduces micromanagement, prevents sorter clogging, and frees excavators for real mining/terrain work. Power/maintenance + limited loading rate/capacity could balance it.
