Agreed, and I think that a simple way to fix this is to make them like the retaining walls and make them extend down a bit so that they are not floating, the model could in theory be reworked a bit to be a little taller and offset down a bit so that when they are shifted up and down they kind of are somewhat touching the one beside it at a different height, somewhat like the retaining walls.
