The possibility of allowing lorries to access a bridge being built in the water

I’m currently busy building a bridge between two islands, so the piers are in the water.
The new amphibious vehicles are ideal for this.
But I’m constantly annoyed by the numerous warnings that my regular lorries cannot reach their destination, in this case the bridge under construction.
I have completed a short section of bridge that starts from the mainland and is correctly built, but this apparently does not provide access to the bridge under construction.
So I would like the option, if there is already a connection between the mainland and the bridge under construction, to allow regular lorries access to that completed section so that they can help with its construction?
