when you accidentally place down railcrossing or connectors that are the wrong way around, having a way to switch around the flow from de-facto left hand to right hand drive or vice versa for singular pieces would be helpful to correct that without a full rebuilt of those pieces.
I don't think we tear up streets just to put new paint on them. :)
