In factorio, I can set multiple stations with the same name and they all behave as 1 station. Meaning that I can name every station that imports iron into Iron Importer Station and my iron trains in the network set to go from Iron Exporter Station to Iron Importer Station will automatically distribute themselves to the newly added Iron Importer stations.
Multiple Stations With the same name should behave as 1 station.
Adding a station to a group in the rail line menu does the same thing.
For example, my mining stations are named after their location: "Copper Near the City," "Copper Near the Crater"—it would be inconvenient to name them all the same.
p.s:Also, after this, it is possible to limit the number of arriving trains for each station, which to some extent helps to balance the relative speed of ore mining.
Dynamic global station groups would do better in this game. Most be useful for parking and refueling, just add the station group in one step, not selecting all refueling and parking spots all over the map to each new line added. Priorities and station limits would still hold in that defined station group, could edit stations in the group and would update in all the lines it is added in. Now editing is a hassle, discouraging me from even doing station overhauls. Imagine going through 20+ lines editing in one new refueling spot, or another 12 parking waypoints. How about please no.
Same name behavior would still be better than it is now, but global station groups would be far better.
