The train stations are great, and with the experimental updates per end of march 2026 we've seen a great deal of improvement to the system. My proposal is to add expansion platforms to station modules, allowing the same module to service multiple platforms simultaneously. Using a system similar to the new stacker tower, the stations could be expanded.
It would allow for tighter station designs when loading or unloading resources.
Throughput could be based on the output or some tiered level. I imagine a few options though:
* Each added platform loads/unloads at 1/n speed, where n is the number of platforms loading/unloading
* Each platform has their own "conveyor", allowing full throughput, but research requirement is higher
* Tier upgrades increase number of extra platforms, allowing full throughput.
To compare the footprint of the stations I have attached two screenshots:
* In the first screenshot I show the footprint of a station with tight platforms, and poorly drawn arrows for how the structure would expand.
* In the second screenshot, I show a typical two platform station, with loading bays on each side.

I like that dubble output to trains, but i think they should be a T2 and take up 2 station size slots for 1 building and be taller with more storage space internaly
