It would be really cool to add something like Managed Aquifer Recharge MAR. So that extra water can be put back into the ground for later use and ground water can be boosted outside of just rain.

Most of that water would be lost - leaking to other layers. So this is not an efficient way to store it. And liquid storage do not need maintenance or power...
