Train track pillars

A train track pillar has a 2x2 footprint as drawn. However, when placed they take up 3x2 tile as footprint. Train tracks are already big and require lots of planning and blueprint to effectively layout. This 3x2 footprint is completely unnecessary and just make track crossing (over or under) more of a pain. Please center the pillar over 2x2 tiles. Thanks

I think it should be 1x1. I should be able to build stuff right next to the column.
