Solar and electric water desalinators

Solar desalinators take up the same amount of space as rainwater collectors. They become available quite early and operate in sunny weather.
Electric desalinators consume electricity, though not as much as an electric boiler. They unlock at the second tier or the beginning of the third.

This literally sounds like the Evaporation Ponds (Standard and Heated), but if they took up twice as much space and could turn Seawater and/or Brine into Water. I suppose it would be nice to have a 3rd option to turn Seawater into Water, or a way to directly turn Brine into Water (understandably with by-products. Salt Probably).
