Minor issue with Tutorial - Requires bricks instead of concrete

The issue
The Maintenace tutorial requests to produce "Mechanical Parts", but doesn't specify recipe.

Expected behavior
Allow either bricks or concrete blocks to be used.

To Reproduce
Have access to both bricks and concrete blocks (via trading dock)
Set concrete as preferred recipe
Make more Mechanical parts

Mechanical parts only have one recipe. And it uses neither bricks nor concrete slabs, only iron. I think you are confusing mechanical parts and construction parts.
