Hopefully, we’ll eventually get a rail-switching module that allows trains to use sidings properly. Trains waiting for a clear track could automatically move to the nearest available siding instead of stopping and blocking the main line. This would make rail operations much more efficient. It would also be nice to have drawbridges for sea-level crossings to allow ships to pass before trains, as trains take priority over vehicles at train crossings.
