Only mouse menu clicks and camera keys work, other input is ignored

Issue description

After the last update I launched the game. The first thing I found out is that I cannot unpause the game using the space bar. Then I moved my camera using WSAD and it worked so I unpaused the game using upper right menu and tried to click one of the buildings. The cursor icon changes to indicate that i can select the building/machine but nothing happens. If i open the building/digging/filling menu by mouse (shortcuts do not work) and choose one of the options the indicator for placement shows up but i cannot place it in anywhere.

I tried following steps:

1. Restarted the game completely
2. Started new game to check if problem persist and it does
3. Verified the game files
4. Deleted and reinstalled the game
5. Run the game with mouse and keyboard checker to verify if the computer register the presses and if I dont have any other keys "ghost" pressed by any chance
6. Deleted, cleared stored cache files from the computer and reinstalled the game.
7. Tried experimental build v0.5.3e (b225)

None of the above worked

This sounds very strange, could it be something wrong with key bindings? You could try reset the key bindings to defaults. Last resort could be to run the game with the --reset-all-settings option to force reset all settings. Settings are stored in windows registry so uninstalling may not properly clear them.
