I find it really weird that some buildings don't need maintenance, like for example:
- assembly 1 -- which has moving parts, so will definitely need maintenance.
- coal boiler doesn't need maintenance either -- which I suppose, assuming six guys are working there, the extra dudes working there (none are shoveling coal if it's belt fed) must be compensating for the maintenance or something.
- fuel stations also don't need maintenance.. lol, if you've been to any petrol station you've seen first-hand that they do need maintenance cause gas is corrosive. also, bathrooms :)
- fluid storages have moving parts (and somehow the fluid pumps itself magically without an electric motor)
- unit/loose storages use electricity, so they have electric motors in them, and will also require maintenance, too.
I would like to suggest:
- all buildings have some amount of maintenance to them -- even if it's a very tiny amount.
- I would like to see an infrastructure maintenance which requires some small fraction of its construction parts cost to maintain itself each month (consider this like things being broken and fixed)
- if I consider that a building will need to be completely replaced over some period of time (fixing everything, rebuilding roof/facade/etc) say over 30-100y, then the construction parts necessary to maintain the building will be
cp cost / building lifespan
