This is definitely a bug, though it seems you've missed the full picture- or perhaps the behavior has changed in the updates since. For trucks participating in deconstruction when assigned to an unrelated storage, even with no explicit routes assigned to that storage... I can see an allow, but the problem is that they do it even when:
- There are explicit routes defined, AND
- They are a truck type (ex. amphibious) which has construction jobs disabled.
That's two different parameters that insist they should NOT be participating in the demolition. I'd also like to note they don't take it to where it belongs, but always to the shipyard- which creates more work for my other trucks.
Reproduction steps:
- Prepare any world with A) something built, B) space in a storage for the components that something will drop, and C) an unrelated storage (slag, for instance) with vehicles assigned to it. Have tested with pickups & trucks.
- In vehicles management, ban all vehicles from construction tasks.
- Demolish that something.
- The storage-assigned trucks will deconstruct it into the shipyard. Unassigned trucks will (correctly) ignore the work.
- Finally, unassigned trucks will empty the shipyard into the storage, unless their logistics is disabled. This is correct, but on jobs that should never have been created.
This is a particularly vile problem when you're like me, and want truck logistics to take priority over construction/deconstruction, as these building-assigned trucks won't care about that priority. They'll also cross the entire factory, starving their assigned structure of their service, to do so. Have not tested with logistic zone control.
