Issue description
When extending a transport from elevation, it seems like the new section must always start with a pillar. This requirement makes it impossible to build/plan the construction piecewise in certain situations, typically when building over buildings and other structures that cannot support consecutive pillars. In most cases, the new pillar is not placed if the structure is built/planned as a whole, so it's obviously not required. This doesn't make a lot of sense, and especially not in planning mode (it's what planning mode is for).
The issue can be worked around by deleting the previous section and re-building (re-planning) the structure as a whole, but it's tedious and error-prone if the transport has a lot of pre-existing connections, and makes building/planning less fun when you have to delete and re-build/plan a big chunk, just to be able to extend it.
The issue is probably caused by not considering the existing pillars when placing new sections, and it could probably be fixed by doing so.
Reproduction steps
- Place a section of transport that ends adjacent to a building that can have transports above it (but cannot support pillars).
- Try to continue the transport over the building. This should not be allowed due to 'cannot find valid pillars placement'.
- Delete the previous section of transport and build the transport over the building in one piece. This normally works, and there is no requirement to have a pillar where the building is.
