It would be great if an addon would involve pirate raids to the games IE existing pirates still on the campaign maps sending in Drones or planes to attack and destroy Infrastructure such as your oil storage, factories to limit your advancement and you had to build defensive structures/weapons to halt them. The attacks would only stop once all the pirates on the campaign map have been removed.
