Issue description
Attempting to place a gas boiler by choosing boiler then using ctrl and scroll to change to gas boiler. The cursor switches to the gas boiler, however when placed, a normal boiler is placed.
Tested with assemblers as well, and same behaviour occurs.
Reproduction steps
Start game.
Choose any building that has variants supported by ctrl+scroll
Scroll to a different building to the one picked.
Place building
Get original choice, not scrolled to choice.
